As with our whole team at AltaVie, Jen loves working with babies and children. She believes the opportunity to work with young ones in this way is such a gift. It is so important to address strains and imbalances in the body early on so that these patterns don’t have to be carried forward in life. Jen has found that a key component to healing is the connection between the mind and body. She places value on empowering patients to be a part of their own healing process.
Empowering her own health through daily nutrition, exercise, and meditation keeps Jen calm and centred, a perfect launching point to support you in your health journey.
Each patient is unique in their own right and comes to the table with their own specific history and current situation. Recognizing this diversity and know that the same treatment is not right for everyone, Jen employs a variety of techniques using her intuitive and manual skills to development and treatment and plan to suit each individual’s needs. This can range from deep tissue to extremely gentle touch. Her personal favourite modalities are myofascial release and craniosacral therapy (CST). In her practice, patients frequently report having found deep release and sustained relief with the inclusion of these techniques.
Jen is a very active and nutrition-conscious person who enjoys being out in nature. In the evenings, she trains in martial arts, including Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu At home, she has an amazing 6 year old son who keeps her busy and yet somehow she is able to prioritize her time to include yoga and meditation daily, which keeps her calm and centred.
